Collection

Perle Captive is a fusion of cultures and forward designs with classic sensibilities. The inspiration behind the line is drawn from several cultures; French, Chinese and American and from two styles; French classic and American contemporary. Indeed Atelier Leseine was influenced by French Classic pavé designs, the intricate geometric lines of the Eiffel Tower, the hexagonal shape often found in Chinese traditional bird cages, while American designer Geoffrey Good who partners with Atelier Leseine, brought his incredible craftmanship and unusual forward design sensibilities to the table.

"In collaborating with Atelier Leseine for the Perle Captive collection, I was intrigued by the challenge of presenting pearls (so intrinsically feminine with their layers and relative softness) in an unusual manner. The term 'unusual' refers to both a desire to avoid the obvious and overused approaches found in most pearl jewelry, and to somehow integrate such an organic material with the structural minimalism I so favor. I'm very happy with the result." -- Geoffrey Good, Principal Designer, New York
